We are a firm of Chartered Accountants and Auditors who have built and refined SimplicityERP directly within our auditing and advisory practice over a period spanning four decades.
Built by Accountants, for Business Excellence
Initially created to manage complex Fixed Asset registers at a time when no suitable Windows applications existed, we developed our core modules using high-performance Rapid Application Development (FlexGen 4). Driven by practical success, we progressively expanded the platform into a fully integrated enterprise suite.

Meet the founder
“Genius.”
Selwyn Oster, the founder of SimplicityERP, is a Chartered Accountant practising in South Africa, and a seasoned software developer at heart. His programming roots run deep, with hands-on experience in machine code, Assembler, COBOL and FlexGen 4. For many years he owned a computer bureau serving clients such as Sun City, Coin Security, Lonrho, the Department of Water Affairs & Forestry, GEC, Iskor, Bifco and others. He also developed an automotive engine management system that was sold globally.
That rare combination of accounting discipline and engineering craft is what shaped SimplicityERP. So far, SimplicityERP has been used only in his own auditing practice, where it handles real audit work every day. Client work there is confidential, so we let the system speak for itself: it was built by an auditor, and proven where accuracy matters most.
Instead, our CEO—a seasoned Chartered Accountant (CPA) and skilled software architect prior to earning his professional accounting qualification—personally architected and developed the entire ecosystem over nearly 40 years. Built with genuine passion and rigorous domain knowledge, SimplicityERP represents a unique synthesis of accounting precision and software engineering.
